Dr. Fornero's Words of Wisdom

Updated: Mar 13, 2020

This is Dr. Fornero with a few Words of Wisdom.

The end of the 2018-2019 school year is near. Some of you will be graduating; others will be advancing to the next grade. We’ll all be experiencing endings--an end to our high school career; for some teachers, an end to a teaching career; for others an end to the junior year. Endings can be sad and exciting. You may be sad to leave familiar faces and comfortable surroundings but excited to move on.

It’s been said that “every ending is a new beginning.”

This is true! Before you move on, stop and reflect on your experiences in school over the years. Think about your successes and consider your failures. What positive experiences can you take with you? What made those experiences positive? What can you learn from your mistakes?

We all make mistakes, and those mistakes come with natural consequences. But, here’s the deal: any pain you suffered because of a poor choice doesn’t have to be wasted if you own your action and decide to make wiser choices and move forward. If you do that, you can move into this next phase of your life with more confidence! We all deserve this!

With something to think about, this is Dr. Fornero. Make it a great day... or not. The choice is yours.
