Don’t know what anime to watch yet? There are many different genres out there like comedy, romance, and thriller. For the people who don’t watch anime, here are some recommendations for you. And for those of you who do, here are some shows you should definitely binge.
1. Attack on Titan
Attack on Titan is a thriller anime that really hooks its watchers. The manga is written and illustrated by the genius Hajime Isayama and was released on September 9, 2009 and then became an anime on April 7, 2013. It is currently 4 seasons long and part two of season 4 is coming out in January, 2022. The anime is filled with a bunch of lovable and hateable characters and has an amazing story. I rate it 1000/10!
2. Ouran HighSchool Host Club
If you like romance and comedy, this anime is definitely for you. The anime came out on April 4, 2006, made by Bisco Hatori. Protagonist Haruhi Fujioka joins the Ouran Academy and just happens to stumble upon the Host Club where she meets the six members who think she is actually a boy! I rate it 100/10!
3. High-Rise Invasion
The anime came out on February 25, 2021 and the manga in December, 2013. High-Rise Invasion is a horror anime where you have to kill to survive. People are being manipulated by masks and are forced to make people kill themselves. Totally recommend if you love horror, violence and gore. I rate it 9/10!
4. Hunter x Hunter
HunterxHunter is an anime about a young boy who wishes to become a hunter in order to find his father, the greatest hunter there is! The anime first came out in 1999 then again in 2011. Sure, there are 144 episodes in the 2011 version, but trust me, it's worth watching. I rate it 10/10!
5. Great Pretender
Great Pretender is a Netflix anime series about con-artists and continuous plot-twists. It's filled with comedy and funny characters making money and tricking the villains. The anime released on June second, 2020 and became a manga in 2021. Totally worth binging both seasons! I rate it 9/10!
6. Given
If you like a short, cute but sad love story, then Given is the anime for you. It's a beautiful story about Mafuyu slowly getting over his ex and finding new love, along with the other side characters. It aired on July 11, 2019 and is 11 episodes long. If you watch, there's a 9 outta 10 chance you will most likely cry. I rate it 10/10!
