Five Nights at Freddy’s Lore (Part 2 + Extras!)

Welcome back to the lore behind Five Nights at Freddy’s!

In FNAF 3 the player is introduced to a new location called, “Fazbear Frights” from a newspaper clipping and, just like in the previous two games, the player is Mike Schmidt. The player is a night-guard for a new horror attraction that is inspired by none other than the famous Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria that was closed 30 years prior. All the old animatronics from the past 2 locations were dismantled and placed in a box.

The player is expected to check if there is anything “off” at the attraction, restart the following systems: ventilation, audio, and the camera system in case anything malfunctions and, most importantly, survive all five nights. The animatronics the player encounters include: Phantom Chica, Foxy, Freddy, Balloon Boy and Puppet.. As the name implies, the animatronics are essentially hallucinations the player will experience while at the attraction. But that's for later.

On the first night, when the player survives until 6 am, they get taken to a minigame. The player then plays a minigame every night in which they act as one of the FNAF1 animatronics. They then have to follow commands on the screen that say, Follow Me . As they are led into a different room the words change and now say “ERROR” , followed by a purple man coming out and destroying the animatronic that the player is acting as.

On each night, the player has to deal with all of these animatronics, especially the main one which would be SpringTrap. There really isn’t much that can be done to avoid the phantoms when they attack, the player just has to restart the systems the phantoms have affected (usually they destroy the ventilation system) and has to act fast because SpringTrap sure is fast on his feet to go through the vents. A word of advice, always make sure to use the audio lure of the little boy laughing far away from the players’ office .That way when he hears the voice he’ll start to head over where the player placed the audio lure and it’s basically the players best bet to survive the night if they keep SpringTrap away.

Another thing to note is that there are 2 different endings: the good and the bad ending.

The good ending is only achieved if the player finds all of the minigames inside of FNAF 3 and beats them, and the souls of the 5 children get freed from the 5 main animatronics in FNAF 1 except golden Freddy and the puppet.

The bad ending is when the spirits of the 5 children that were killed by the purple man chase after him until he gets inside of a spring lock suit. While inside of the suit. The purple man activates the spring locks and he dies a very gruesome death. Henceforth his soul is now in the Springlock suit that goes by the name SpringTrap. He always comes back one way or another.

The place burnt down along with SpringTrap. So that's the end of him.

For now.

‘Tis all for this piece of FNAF lore.
